NIKE: THE RUNNING COMPANY "Nike is celebrating its 35th anniversary by inaugurating an exhibition that brings sports, culture and art together. Nine graphic designers have interpreted original Nike products from the 70s and blended them with modern artwork inspired by the city's most emblematic spots." From October 18th to November 10th. area3: The work of area3 is inspired by the Room of the Mirrors of Tibidabo's fairground, a funny place often crossed by us when we were just children, at the end of the 70's. It is therefore a space that draws the recollection of an epoch, in a Barcelona now distant. Somehow, the mirrors of this room preserve images of ourselves, but undelineated, and not only because of the mirrors that deform, but also for the distance that time imposes. This concept joins with the new collection of Nike's clothes while it wakes up recollections of a past that, as is observed in the work, the memory deforms. The used technology combines the photography, the digital tracing and the water-color, skills that reinterpret (and claim) two times: the past of our infancy and the present of our youth.
